What Is Truth?

What is truth?  Is there really a universal truth?

Webster says: The meaning of the word truth extends from honesty, good faith, and sincerity in general, to agreement with fact or reality in particular.

The term has no single definition about which a majority of professional philosophers and scholars agree, and various theories of truth continue to be debated. There are differing claims on such questions as what constitutes truth; how to define and identify truth; the roles that revealed and acquired knowledge play; and whether truth is subjective, relative, objective, or absolute. This article introduces the various perspectives and claims, both today and throughout history.

So even the experts are somewhat unsure of what truth really is.

Dealing with a crisis can be the most difficult time of your life.  Everything gets turned upside down.  We may even go into shock.  Now how do we know the truth to follow.

We each have truth available to us in this moment, it is within us.  Go to Living From The Heart to find out how to access this truth.

Have you ever had the feeling that you just know something?  You don’t know how you know it or where the information came from, but you KNOW!

You know it to be truth and you will stand by it as the truth.  Where did this come from, your mind, your heart and soul, or from outer space????

I had this experience while in my cancer journey and confused and uncertain which way to turn.  See what happened to me click here, in Song of My Soul: Hope Inspiration and Wisdom From A Cancer Suvivor.

Sometimes we just want someone to tell us the truth for us.  They can’t.  The truth resides in each of us and is the only truth there is for us.

Does truth change?  Each moment is new and different and ever-evolving.  In each moment, go within and access your truth.  Jesus said, “Be still and you will know.”

He was pointing us to the truth that is available to us every moment.

Good topic to think about! Jesus also says, “I am the way, the truth and the life”. John 14:6
So if we want to know truth or what is true, ask Jesus.

Truth is a frequency wave that vibrates from God and moves us on a path of righteousness. It might be light or it might be feeling depending on the receiver, but it leads us on like a radar beacon because of fundamental rules amd laws. The same way physics affects radio waves the rules and laws affect the path we are on. You are blessed Sheila!! Erv

Truth resides within. Like Sheila says above, it is known, it is felt and somehow no questions are necessary in that moment. Of course after ‘the moment’ the mind may get in the way and the questions may come…. but in those ‘truth moments’ enlightment exists. Truth.

I fully agree that truth always prevails and this joyful-creative force is the divine spark in each human being which I had realised at the very onset of my cancer. I can fully relate to you personally since I have been the same road and my journey to recovery from stage IVb terminal cancer of the oesophagus metastases lymph nodes and liver for over five years is a medical miracle but was not chemo or surgery but not losing hope when I was given less than six months to live. I took matters into your own hand, had complete faith in myself and doing everything possible to help the body and mind heal that has put me as a gold standard in the medical journal. God bless you for having such a wonderful site dedicated to people who have no hope. Keep up the good work.
