If the body can’t tell the difference between real or fake thoughts or actions, what else should we be thinking and doing to trick our body.

My guess is………………we should think and do what we want most in life. 

If our body can’t tell the difference then can we create perfect health, peace, joy, abundance?

So what role do our emotions play in our healing?

Our emotions are our body’s reaction to our mind.  So pay attention to your emotions as a good indicator of your thoughts.

What do you choose to focus on?  If you were told you have a life threatening disease what would you do?

I truly didn’t know what to do and I learned to follow my intuition.  Every mother out there I know can relate to mother’s intuition.  You just know.  How do you know?  You just know.  Words can’t describe how you know.  There is a place within us that has a profound knowingness, or a messenger who told us, or a feeling we felt, WE JUST KNOW!

When you can access that place of wisdom, life flows so much easier.  I truly believe all of us should and could access this wisdom with every decision in our life.  We were created to have access to this wisdom.  We have this wisdom as part of us.

Then why do so many of us not know how to access this wisdom?  How come we have forgotton how to do it?

What is the mind disease that seems to be an epidemic in the world?

Have you ever heard of it?

Has your doctor talked to you about what to do to prevent this contagious disease? 

Let me give you just one example of this disease….

Something troubling or even disasterous happens to you or someone you love.

You begin to think about all the things that happened and how it could have been prevented.  Or you begin to think about why it happened or what if or what you could of done different.  This mind thinking continues until you don’t even know you are doing it.  It becomes part of you life every day even at night while sleeping.  You can’t escape it.  It becomes obscessive and the disease grows out of control…….

Yesterdays post really got me thinking………………..

I had several surgeries when I was dealing with melanoma.  During a very extensive surgery, removing organs and doing some exploratory work looking for tumors, I got a staph infection.  One day my incision split open and there it was……….

Now as a cancer survivor speaker I wonder what do I tell and what don’t I.  What do people want to know.

At that time I had a wound specialists come to my home and take care of my incision and infection.  I thought then that it was so bizarre that all she did was come and pour hydrogen peroxide over my incision and stomach.

Again we see by yesterdays article the huge role our immune systems play in our health in our life.

An immune system is a collection of mechanisms within an organism that protects against disease by identifying and killing pathogens and tumor cells. It detects a wide variety of agents, from viruses to parasitic worms, and needs to distinguish them from the organism’s own healthy cells and tissues in order to function properly. Detection is complicated as pathogens adapt and evolve new ways to successfully infect the host organism.

With cancer, the immune system no longer identifies the cells (which are cancerous) as foreign to the body.  So the immune system does not go after the cancer cells and destroy them.

In autoimmune diseases, the immune system identifies normal cells of our body as foreign and so starts to destroy them.   So in reality the body is destroying itself. 

I couldn’t believer it! 

Well actually I can…….I went to my dermatologist for the first time in six years at least.  I just quit going after seeing them so much for so long.  When I saw him I could tell he couldn’t quite remember me.  I said you don’t know me do you?  I was cutting him some slack actually because I did look different.  My hair was longer and blonder and of course I look older.  He said not really but it is coming back and he just stood there and stared.  He didn’t have my files because it had been so long and they had switched computer systems.

Then he said, “Oh yeah you are Dr Kay’s friend the one that is suppose to be dead!!”

Actually I laughed and said that I had so many doctors over the years (I counted once, it was 48) that I am sure they all think I am dead from melanoma.

At this time of year, we keep hearing the same message dont go out without sunscreen, cover yourself up, or you risk getting skin cancer. But, with sunscreen products providing multi-billion pound sales for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, its often hard to know where sound science ends and the marketing hype begins.

Around 100,000 cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in the UK each year, 7,000 of which are the most dangerous kind, malignant melanoma (see the box below for details of the three main types of skin cancer). Although we are constantly told that avoiding the suns rays and using sunscreen will reduce our risk of this dreaded disease, the truth is not that simple and indeed the very opposite may in fact be true.

Cases of Deadly Skin Cancer in Young Women Increase by 50 Percent

Cases of the deadliest form of skin cancer are on the rise among young women, but not young men, according to a study published Thursday in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.

Analyzing government data on Caucasian men and women ages 15 to 39, Mark Purdue and his colleagues at the National Cancer Institute found that, between 1980 and 2004, annual cases of melanoma among young women increased by 50 percent from 9.4 cases per 100,000 women to 13.9 cases per 100,000 women.

Researchers also found a greater increase in young women having thicker and metastatic melanomas in which the cancer spreads to other areas of the body during that time period.

We need to rally together and help each other be a cancer survivor not a cancer victim.  Why are people so afraid and skeptical of everything, except what their doctors says.  They trust doctors 100%.  But yet there is a world of information available they don’t know anything about.

I was just on a cancer message board and I posted a message of hope to someone and offered my book for free.

I really am sharing my story on skin cancer and how I healed body, mind and spirit to anyone who wants it.  I am giving away my book.  I am really here to help people with cancer and give them hope and the best advice or direction I know.  That is my mission, that is why I am still here.
