Often when we are faced with a cancer diagnosis or any crisis in our life it shocks and rocks our world. All of a sudden everything about our lives we begin to question. We question why, who, what, where, and how………………………..
We wonder how we have gotten to this place. It as if something just carried us to this point and now we woke up and said, “how did I get here?”
Through my cancer support I hear stories of individuals and how cancer rock their lives, but also how cancer woke them up to a new life.
I am gathering stories of cancer and lessons learned and how people took the lessons to their new life.

Hi! I’am Tim Hansen I have survived 3 inoperable brain tumors. What i want to say is that i can not believe the site over cancer. When i was diagosed in 1984 with 3 brain tumors i was shocked, but however i was not going to let take me i was going to fight it to the end. Five surgeries later and radiation treatments of cobalt 60 I will say it was the toughest part of my life. After the doctors gave up hope i was sent home to die. I was bed fast and the tumors were growing rapidly. My mother Gloria Hansen was reading a article in the McCall’s magazine on new treatment for cancer. She knew it was the answer. The cancer treatment was a drug called HYDRAZINE SULFATE and was founded by a doctor who worked the Apollo space program. He had started his research going back to the 70’s. It wasn’t until I got on the Hydrazine Sulfate did i get any relief. The third day b eing on it I was up and running. Three months of treatment cat scan showed shrinking of the tumors. I had thirty percent shrinking of the three tumors. My brain surgeon could not believe it. Cat scans over the next months revealed that they were shrinking. In 1990 MRI scan showed only one tumor remained. It was in the ventricle of the brain. Doctors keeped an eye on it and it finally was gone by 1996. Being a survivor of 24 years and all the hastle of doctors and FDA it is time that this country wakes up and see the big picture. To many people over the years have past away because of ignorance. The doctor who founded the Hydrazine sulfate Doctor Gold has been researching all these years is getting up there in age. Last year and half ago I took a vacation to see him and I was really excited to see him in person. Doctor Gold said it was time for me to release my story. Now is time for me to do this. Penthouse magazine had been following this story on Doctor Gold and i was asked to let my story be told in a article for the magazine. The following year I was approached by a reporter from WGN and was taped for the healthbeat segment. Since then I have been in a book called Options the alternative cancer therapy book by Richard Walters. I have been working since 1993 full time and live a pretty normal life. I did go through all the symptoms and side effects of radiaton. I want people to know that there is a alternative to cancer treatments and that traditional treatments don’t always work. The cobalt 60 only made my tumors grow more massively and was sent home to die. If it wasn’t for God and Doctor Gold I would not be here today and very thankfull for it. Sheila, people need to look at what is going on in the medical community and that sometimes they don’t have the answers. I was fornate to have the opportunity to be on the drug and live. You can check with Doctor Gold in Syracuse New York about all the research that has been done around the world on this. He has worked with the Russians and other countries on the hydrazine. I have gotten a lot of calls from people needing it and the results have outstanding. In summary people need to give a look at alternatives and what can be done about it. Thank your for time.

Doctor Gold said that there is going to be a new web site starting very soon. I will email you when I find out when. I live in Kansas and the little town that is closest is Salina,Ks. The global flyer took off with Steve Fossset in Salina that set a new world record for flight history. I live north of Salina and the town is called Bennington,Ks. You can look at on the web site Hydrazine Sulfate Richard Walters. During this time I have gotten alot of calls from people around the nation. They either got the information from somebody who had the article from Penthouse or from the Sailna Journal local paper on me that was done back in 1986. People have held on to the Salina Journal for years which I’am impressed. There was a man up at Concordia,Ks who had the article from Penthouse. This artcile was done in June of 1989. It was to show the that the Hydrazine did in fact worked and used my story as testimonial to back up the evidence on the research on Hydrazine Sulfate. Since May of 1990 when Jeff Kamen from WGN came to do his taping for the Healthbeat segment he also did a documentary on me. After he did the taping it was aired 2 two days later and the response was over wehlming. My one brother who works in Kansas City said that it took Kansas City by wildfire. People were wanting to know about me and the drug. Every time I would go to Kansas City people would look at me as if I seen you before. Then later after several other reporters doing the atricles did I run into problems with this. Food and Drug Adminstration started in with their investigation on me. While I was working at Dillard’s at the central mall in Salina I would get followed home at night from work. They would not give up at all. It was then one night I went into Salina I came across a van with the doors open on the side of the road with recording equipment in it. They finally found out where I lived and staked out the house. I went and bought some counter survellances equipment for the house. Mom (Gloria) and me found some listening devices and our phone was wired tapped. FDA would not come out and say that they do these things like wire tapping. Mom and me found out that you can released your story and there no telling what is going to happen to you when you release it. Since then we have been careful about who we talk to because you never know who is for the drug and who is not. You got to be careful in who you talk to. In Salina I can not get any care for like sore throats or for a cold. I do try to help who ever is wanting to try this treatment because if I can help this person out then it was worth the time to help them. Several years ago my dad Ray got his union magazine in the mail. On the back page of it was a story of a little boy who had a tumor wrapped around his pitituary gland. He had lost his hearing and his eye sight due to the tumor. They family was in need of help and mother asked for help in the story. My dad said we got to help them out. Since this was a union brother of dad’s we called the union hall in New Jersey and got a hold of the family. The mother said that her boy had been on the Hydrazine for a short while and the doctor did not see any benefit of it. We told the mother to get him back on it and give it time to work. The little boy named Nicholas got a second chance for life. Couple months on the Hydrazine the tumor started shrinking and he regained his hearing and sight in one eye. When 9/11 hit we calledthem and Nicholas was leading pretty normal life. You don’t know how good this makes me feel that he was doing good. You can not believe the stories from people that call and say they need it for a loved one. Everyone needs to know that God has the say in their lives and that he doesn’t always reveil the answer but he wants you to look for the answers to strengthen your faith in him. My mom and dad were worried about me for several months. Those months were very trying and my health was getting worse every day and the doctors threw their hands up and gave up. My weight Sheila was 55 pounds when I was entered in the hospital and 12 years old. They did not give me a chance at living. My neurosurgeon was just dumb founded at what the local doctors had done to me. He also was amazed at how I lived the last year with the pressure on the brain. I will say it was God who kept me alive. I will tell everyone who reads this that God is in their lives and not to ignore him but take in what his showing you and to learn from him. I say this do not think you can play with God’s plans because I have seen what the results are and they are not always not what you want in life. I have been very close with God since I was born. I have experienced many things with God and I’am amazed, I don’t doubt God at all. You just got to put your faith in him and let hime lead you the way. Sheila there is a good article that is in todays Kansas City Star paper 9-28-08 on brain cancer number 1 killer of children. web site is http://www.kyriefoundation.org. To me it doesn’t matter what kind of cancer it is still it changes your whole life and how you feel. It effects your family and your friends. Pretty much all friends kept at distance because of they were afraid to get near emotionally and physically. Afraid they would get the cancer by touching. Now we all know that you don’t get cancer by touching. What is amazing is how much cancer there is across the United States and what is causing it. Is it the enviroment or is it DNA makeup. My was defect in the chromosome don’t know what caused it to go haywire in the makeup but it did. Thought I would send this email.
